The Basay (巴賽族) are an aboriginal tribe of Taiwan. Their ancestors spoke the Basay language.
Language
Basay was formerly spoken in the plains area of Northern Taiwan by the Basay tribe. The language is most closely related to the East Formosan group. The language is an extinct Formosan language of the Austronesian family.
